ONE of the biggest bands of the 2-Tone movement, The Beat, is bringing its ska fusion rhythms to Salisbury City Hall on Saturday.

The Beat had a string of hits including Mirror in the Bathroom and Too Nice To Talk To. Their songs fuse ska, pop, reggae and punk rock.

The Beat formed in Birmingham in 1978 and went on to have 12 chart singles and produce three albums, which were reissued in 2012.

The 2014 line-up features Ranking Roger and Ranking Junior on vocals, plus Andy Pearson, Michael Billingham, Matt Godwin and Steve Harper on saxophone, keyboard and guitars.

They will be supported by the Intercepteurs.
