CITY Hall Salisbury has this week announced some musical highlights for the autumn season.

September 26 will see Mad Dog Mcrea perform, and a few weeks later John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett are in town.

Midnight Flyers will be the support act for both shows then, on October 24 former Specials member Neville Staples will take to the stage with his band (support details remain to be confirmed for this date).

Finally in November Secret Affair and The Lambrettas take to the stage on November 8.

* There will be great excitement as Waistcoat Festival take place in Sixpenny Handley this weekend.

Good music, a street fair and a selection of cider and beers will all be available on Saturday.

Acts set to perform include The Victorian Barbers, who are playing in the High Street at 3pm in a free gig.

A street fair starts from midday, with fun for all the family.

* Salisbury Live launches next Friday with bands and musicians performing at venues across the city.

Wiltshire College music students will be performing the acclaimed 27 Club as part of their History of Pop event at the Ale House, Crane Street, Salisbury next Tuesday, May 20.

As well as the BTEC music students performances there will be guest appearances from two regional and local bands.

Entry is free and the fun starts at 8pm.
