WELSH singing superstar Tom Jones opened this year’s Larmer Tree Festival in fine style.

The main stage was packed as Jones belted out classic hits including Delilah, Sex Bomb and It’s Not Unusual, mixed it up with Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen covers and gave the crowd some country and bluesy tunes from his latest album.

He may be 74, but it’s easy to see why Sir Tom is still wowing the crowds.

And he had them eating out of his hand with his purring Welsh lilt and cries of “Hell yeah”.

And, yes, there were a few pairs of pants thrown on stage during his performance.

His gravelly voice is still incredible and he had the audience singing, clapping and dancing along for all of his set, which lasted for almost two hours.

The atmosphere at Larmer Tree is always fantastic, but Sir Tom created a real buzz that got everyone in the mood for the rest of the festival.
