THE Gaudeamus Chorale conducted by Graham Wili performed Faure’s Requiem at Salisbury Cathedral on Friday in aid of Cancer Research UK.
They were joined for the event by soloist soprano Marian Goodman, baritone Dyfed Wyn Evans and organist Iestyn Evans.
The choir’s programme also included Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs, Cecilia McDowall's Ave Maris Stella and Blest Pair of Sirens by Hubert Parry.
The Gaudeamus Chorale is one of the country’s premier non-professional choirs and has performed in many of the great English cathedrals.
They are drawn from the members of the Berkhamsted and Chorleywood Choral Societies.
