SALISBURY Rugby Club will host an all-day gig to raise money for the Joseph Landon Foundation on Sunday.

Kicking off at 3pm there will be live music with a barbecue, real ale and cider.

Entry is by donation with all the money going to the charity.

Deloreons frontman Russell Parsons will be embarking on a 12 hour music marathon on Sunday to support the fundraising efforts of the Something Silly In June campaign.

SSIJ was set up by Russell's inspirational late friend Steve Chalk to raise money for Melanoma UK.

Steve died last August after a brave battle.

Russell will play alongside a long list of musical friends during the half day charity event.

The gig will include a beer festival and a barbecue will also be taking place at Qudos, Castle Street starting at 12 noon.

n Shrewton Beer Festival takes place this weekend at Shrewton recreational ground.

The family-friendly event gets underway at 2pm on Saturday and continues on Sunday.

Acts performing over the weekend are Naomi Coombes, David Waddington, Pugwall, Glasshouse, Andy Grant, Stone Donkey Pilots, Nudy Bronque and The Intercepteurs.
