SALISBURY Baroque will be bringing the sounds of Vivaldi to St Thomas’s Church this September.
With their concert A Musical Journey, audiences will be treated to a complete performance of the Four Seasons along with songs by Byrd, Handel and Cavalli.
This concert will be an opportunity to see two up and coming stars on the international music scene as well as Salisbury’s very own period instrument group.
Catherine Martin is to make her return as director and violin soloist, whilst Michael Solomon Williams will take on the role of tenor soloist. Martin has led the Gabrieli Consort and Players for the last 10 years and Solomon Williams has played on the soundtracks of several Hollywood films and often records at Abbey Road Studios.
Set up in 2010 by David Morgan, Salisbury Baroque is enjoying increasing success.
The concert will take place at St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury on Sunday, September 21 at 3.30pm.
Tickets can be bought in advance from the Music Room on Catherine Street, Salisbury 01722 328181 and on the door.
