SALISBURY Cathedral has a busy Christmas schedule ahead, with a number of different services that are aimed to cater for all ages.

It starts on Saturday with family time from 2pm to 5.30pm and a free family Christmas story time at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.

Hunt the Christmouse starts on Monday and runs until the end of the month with a trail that is designed to take children all over the cathedral in search of the mouse.

On Monday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 23 there will be a children’s craft fair taking place from 10am to midday and 1pm to 3pm on both day.

Taking place until December 23 is the twilight tower tours, where people can climb the 332 steps to the top of the cathedral spire to see the spectacular views of the city.

Finally there will be a special Christmas nativity – Follow that Star – which is on Christmas eve at 4pm. The children can join the star’s journey to Bethlehem and the new born baby Jesus, and sing carols whilst sharing the special story of the first Christmas. There is even a real donkey from Farmer Giles Farmstead.
