SALISBURY’S newest music festival has been announced.
Local business The Sound Emporium has teamed up with the Bemerton Heath Residents Association
to introduce ‘The Festival on the Heath’ at Pembroke Park on July 25th.
The organisers say it will be free to attend and "a real family friendly event so put some flowers in your
hair and take a trip around hippie village and enjoy a music line up that promises everything from
rock, jazz, blues, indie, grime, rock and roll and americana."
They are planning to have two stages and performers will be coming from all over the country.
The first act to have been announced are south coast indie rock band FlashFires.
The organisers say: "They are sure to bring their own brand of ‘Fire Indie Disco’ to proceedings and in their own words ‘are here to have a good time and everyone is invited!’ Check out their recent single ‘Shy’ for a taster of what's to
come!"
Also confirmed for this years line up are firm Hendrix House favourites RedHead. Redhead are an
original classic rock band with three part harmonies and catchy melodies, they use energetic live
performance to share their message of Rock 'n' Roll!
