WITH temperatures dropping and the festive build-up beginning, Christmas shows are now on everyone’s mind.

Of course, it just wouldn’t be right for Bournemouth not to have a visit from the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.

Tickets are now on sale for Scrooge at the Shelley Theatre, which runs from December 15-24.

The musical play in two acts was devised under the watchful eye of Broadway and West End Star, Earl Carpenter (producer) and former Head of Performing Arts at Bournemouth and Poole College, Jo Barrington (director).

Earl Carpenter of Ginger Boy Productions told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: “I think we all know how much Christmas cheer and seasonal miracles that the story of Scrooge offers.

“But for me it’s the sense of community, the combination of it being at Shelley Theatre and the incredible good will shared amongst the experienced and non-experienced members of our cast that will put the true meaning of Christmas into this production.”

Earl added: “I think it’s more than just a show, I think it’s magical. Come and see for yourself!”

A mixed ability, educational production. The miserly lead role of Ebenezer Scrooge will be played by seasoned Southampton based actor Bruce McIntosh, who has a long career in stage, film and music.

Cast includes a multitude of specially chosen local young performers. To book, contact the Shelley Theatre on 01202 413600 or visit shelleytheatre.co.uk
