Salisbury Journal, Salisbury district council and Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership reserve the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in our sole discretion, the competition is not capable of being conducted as specified in these terms and conditions.Entrants5.The competition will run from Thursday 12 July to Sunday 30 September 2007.6. The competition is open to all UK residents, with the exception of members of Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership, employees of Salisbury Journal, employees of Salisbury District Council, or their families or associated companies.7. If an entrant is under 18 years of age, their parent or guardian must sign the entry form on their behalf.Prizes8. There will be one first prize for the best photograph overall; plus additional runners up prizes for the best photograph in the following seven categories: major attractions (eg. Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge); local events; pituresque towns and villages; outdoor activities (eg. walking and cycling); shopping (including markets); eating out; gardens.9. The winner of the overall first prize will receive one of Panasonic's superb new Lumix DMC-TZ3 cameras, as seen on TV, with 10x optical zoom 28mm wide angle Leica lens, 7 megapixels and 3-inch LCD screen. No cash alternative; subject to stock availability.10. The prizewinners in the additional seven runners up categories listed above will each receive a copy of photographer Steve Day's inspirational book Wiltshire Moods.Photographs11. Only colour photographs will be considered.12. All entries must be accompanied by a completed and signed application form, available from: Salisbury Journal, 8/12 Rollestone Street, Salisbury, SP1 1DY, or by emailing: photocomp@salisburyjournal.co.uk13. Each photograph must be accompanied by details of where and when it was taken.14. Only photographs depicting scenes within the boundaries of South Wiltshire - as defined on www.visitsalisbury.com/html/maps and on the back cover of the Salisbury and Stonehenge Visitor Guide 2006 - will be considered.15. The subject matter of the photographs may relate to any aspect of tourism within south Wiltshire. As well as major attractions such as Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge, you may wish to submit photographs of local events, pituresque towns and villages, outdoor activities, shopping, eating out or gardens.16. Entry to the competition is restricted to a maximum of three photographs per person.17. All entries must be previously unpublished. 18. Entries may either be submitted as photographic prints (maximum size 10 x 8 inches) by post to Salisbury Journal, 8/12 Rollestone Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 1DY or as j-peg attachments (minimum resolution 300dpi) by email to photocomp@salisburyjournal.co.uk.19. Salisbury Journal, Salisbury district council and Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries and takes no responsibility for any entries that are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.20. Entries must be received by 5pm on Sunday, September 30, 2007 (UK time). Judging21. The winners will be the entrants whose photographs, in the opinion of the judges, demonstrate the greatest flair, technique and originality in promoting South Wiltshire as a tourist destination.22. Entries may be rejected in the sole discretion of the judges, including for reasons of obscenity, defamation or invasion of privacy (which includes contraventions of the Data Protection Act). 23. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.24. The judges will select the winners in their sole discretion. Winners25. The winner and runners up will be notified by . If any of them cannot be contacted by Friday October 12, their prize(s) will be offered to the entrants adjudged to be next best. 26. Winners may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize.27. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. 28. A cash alternative to prizes is not available. 29. A list of winners will be available on request, after the winners have been notified.Marketing30. The Salisbury Journal, Salisbury district council and Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership reserve the right to publish entries other than the winning entries, and publication does not necessarily mean that the entrant has won a prize.31. Winners and entrants must agree to their name and town of residence being used for publicity purposes by the Salisbury Journal, Salisbury district council and Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership in any and all media.Copyright/Warranty32. All entrants enter the competition on the understanding that the photographs they submit may be reproduced, free of charge and in perpetuity, by Salisbury Journal and/or Salisbury District Council and/or Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership in any advertising or promotional material, whether printed or electronic. If you are not willing to abide by this condition, please do not submit your photograph(s) to the competition.33. By submitting your photograph(s) to the competition you warrant that your photograph(s) is/are your own original work and that you have the right to make it/them available for the purposes specified in these terms and conditions.34. By submitting your photograph(s) to the competition you warrant that any persons included in and recognisable from your photograph(s) have given their written permission for these photographs to be submitted under the competition rules, including for publication and publicity purposes.35. By submitting your photograph(s) to the competition you warrant that your photograph(s) are not defamatory and do not infringe any law.36. By submitting your photograph(s) to the competition you indemnify The Salisbury Journal, Salisbury district council and Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by The Salisbury Journal, Salisbury district council and Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership as a result of your breach of the above warranty as laid out in clauses 30 to 33 and waive any rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication by The Salisbury Journal, Salisbury district council and Salisbury and Stonehenge Tourism Partnership for the purposes specified in these terms and conditions.
