W1A star Ophelia Lovibond and Hard Sun actor Ukweli Roach are to star in the world premiere of new play Nightfall.

Laurie Sansom will direct the production, which was penned by playwright Barney Norris and will also star Hinterland actor Sion Daniel Young.

Lovibond, best known for playing BBC staffer Izzy Gould, will play Lou, while Young will play her brother Ryan, who is struggling to make a living off the land on a farm outside Winchester.

Lou returns home after the death of their father to support their mother Jenny, along with her boyfriend Pete, played by Roach, who is flush with money from his job at an oil refinery.

Nightfall will run at the Bridge Theatre from April 28 to June 3, with press night on May 8.

Final casting is yet to be announced.
