Former PM's home

In the article ‘Rescue Plan for the former home of PM’ (Journal, February 14), Peter Batey is quoted as saying ‘Salisbury could be the only place where it is possible to visit the home of a post-war prime minister...’.

Perhaps he is unaware that Chartwell, the Kent home of Sir Winston Churchill who, of course, served a second term as prime minister in the 1950s, is opened on a regular basis by the National Trust.
