MY husband was recently in Salisbury District Hospital and I would like, through the Journal, to give mine and my husband’s heartfelt thanks to all of those who helped him towards recovery.
From the moment the ambulance arrived at our house, he received very quick and efficient service. At A&E he was again seen very quickly.
He then went to Whiteparish ward where Dr Warley and his team were very understanding of the problem he had.
He was then transferred to Pitton ward, which at the best of times is an extremely busy ward.
Both my husband and myself observed how very hard all the staff worked.
Nothing was ever too much trouble – the care and attention they gave to all their patients was excellent.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the sister and her wonderful team.

I’D like to use your letters page as a medium to offer a heartfelt thank you to whoever phoned for an ambulance when I collapsed near the United Reformed Church in Fisherton Street just before noon on Friday, January 24.
Having spent four days in hospital, I was sent home after various tests pointed to things being normal.
Needless to say the staff at Salisbury District Hospital, be they porter or
consultant, were nothing short of superb.
Dr Russ Foster, Salisbury
