Thank you for Forces March support

First published in Letters

THE Forces March 2014 started from Ilfracombe on May 21, passed through North Devon and right across Somerset to reach Maiden Bradley on May 24.

On the final day (May 25) it proceed through Longbridge Deverill, Sutton Veny, Heytesbury, Chitterne, Shrewton and Larkhill to finish at Carter Barracks Bulford, 138 miles from the start five days previously.

Bucket collections were conducted the length of the route on day five, and yielded £264.49.

The trustees wish to thank the citizens of Wiltshire for their support, and all those who also contributed to our funds from the various collections in the supermarkets along the five day route.

The total raised in the full five days was a touch over £4,000.

Thank you everybody everywhere for your generous support of our charity.

The March for 2015 is already set up and we are taking bookings.

We will pass through Wiltshire from west to east on the same route on Sunday, May 24.

Maybe see you all again.

MJ Massy-Beresford, trustee, and Danny Greeno, chief executive
