DESPITE the alleged need to modernise the Market Place it appears that contingency plans to minimise the physiological impact on residents and tourists are woefully inadequate.
There seems to be a complete absence of well-structured, discreet and tasteful temporary toilets such as those found at gymkhanas, flower shows and car boot sales.
It must surely be obvious that without such essential and civilised amenities, word will soon get around that Salisbury with its current facilities is to be avoided.
