I WOULD like to thank the people who came to my aid after an accident in Netherhampton on February 14; the ambulance staff, the police, the staff at Salisbury Hospital A&E department, the lady from the garden centre who took me into the warm and made me a lovely cup of coffee, and the family in the bungalow whose drive I came to a stop in.

But most of all I would like to thank the three ladies who came to my aid, phoning the ambulance and the police and making me comfortable and warm until the ambulance arrived.

All I can say is one big thank you.

Norman Grant, Amesbury
