Organists celebrate anniversary

IN a recent issue of the Journal From our Files there was a report from the Salisbury and District Organists' Association celebrating its 50th anniversary.

I am pleased to say that this year we are celebrating 100 years of our existence, and in addition to our usual programme of events, we will be attending an Evensong in the Cathedral on December 1, followed by a celebration meal in the cathedral refectory, when our speaker will be Dr Alan Thurlow, the former organist and master of the choristers at Chichester Cathedral.
