Can't EU pay for new road?

First published in Postbag

I HAVE recently returned from a holiday in Madeira and was amazed by their roads.

Lots of dual carriageways and tunnels through the mountains were in an immaculate condition – and all paid for by the EU.

Why can’t we get the EU to pay for a new road around Stonehenge as it is such a big tourist attraction?

First you will need MEPs from the UK who have the guts to fight for the people of the UK and, who actually attend the various meetings and debates. Currently we have UKIP MEPs who are absent 70% of the time and want us to leave the EU and Tory MEPs who simply want us to leave the EU. Consequently would you pay for anything these groups fail to represent, no, neither would I.
