Volunteers were very welcoming

I WOULD like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Bridging Project for being so welcoming when I dropped in for a visit on Thursday evening.

It was a great opportunity for me to gain an insight into the contributions these people make.

All those who attend the service are accepted as individuals, despite differences in abilities, and allowed the chance to relax and make friends while learning and developing new skills in a supported environment.

This often gives a small amount of respite for parents, while giving support to the attendees.

The expertise of the staff is integral to the success of the service.

Most youths not already accessing facilities such as this and Grosvenor House Bass Connection are probably not really interested in doing so, and any amount of tweeking by Wiltshire Council will not change that.

The age old saying “if it ain't broke - don't fix it” springs to mind.
