IN response to G Edwards’ letter about Salisbury City FC (Postbag, March 22), it would have been fair comment after the first three games and three straight losses.
But Mikey Harris has made a brilliant recovery and got the teamup to third in the league after being tipped to be relegated before the season.
The recent 0-0 draw at home to Luton, who were 16 points clear at the top of the league and scoring goals for fun, felt like winning. It was our best game of the season, with well over 2,000 fans attending.
The team was well prepared by the manager to keep a clean sheet, and I feel Mikey Harris was a good appointment for continuity within the club.
He is passionate and loyal to the team. To refer to him as a cheap option is an insult to all his hard work and enthusiasm. If he broke his arm it would have Salisbury FC written on the ends. Owners, directors, managers and players come and go but the fans are always there, so get behind the team. Unity is strength.
