Thankful for police presence

First published in Postbag

AFTER the recent storms we experienced, a man told me he had removed the branch of one of our trees that had fallen on the service road behind our garden.

He demanded £80 for doing this work, although he had done no such thing.

I refused to pay him and I managed to get rid of him.

I also phoned the police, and three officers arrived promptly.

They were very concerned and helpful and have been in touch several times since then. We are fortunate.

My husband and I have been very glad of the protection and attention we have received from the police as we both have carers.

I just want the public to know what a caring, able police force we have in this area.

They are super.

It's just sad these fine constables won't have a Police Station soon
