Issue of potholes needs addressing

First published in Postbag

I SEE potholes were mentioned in Postbag again last week.

If the potholes are not being repaired they are only going to get worse. We have some good weather now so get to grips with them.

I can name a few roads that are bad, such as Brown Street, Westwood Road and Queen Alexandra Road to name but a few.

But if they only put Tarmac in the holes they will only break down again. It is not worth just filling in – these roads need a complete overhaul, not just a patch-up job.

If you travel these roads every day, then you will know what they are like.

This is not something that only happens in cities, I've driven over a pothole in Bulford causing damage to the wheel of my car and the same in Weyhill near Andover. This is a problem that has been ignored for so long it has become such that it is probably unsolvable!
