A FEW weeks I and many others were invited by Wiltshire Council to a meeting at Dinton Village Hall to discuss public rights of improvement.
Nothing was said about closing any public rights of ways and I hope Wiltshire Council and the Government will not be as stupid as to try to close Byway 12.
This byway has already been diverted once from its original place and to close it just to satisfy English Heritage will be the last straw.
These ancient byways are part of Wiltshire's heritage and should be kept open and maintained.
Sir Cecil Chubb gave Stonehenge to the nation in good faith; he must be turning in his grave.
People of Wiltshire - stand up for your rights!
