Clarke ruled out of start/Dutton signs
CITY boss Nick Holmes has confirmed that goalkeeper Ryan Clarke will now miss the start of the season due to the foot injury he suffered while on holiday.
"It hasn't quite gone as we'd hoped," said Holmes. "So he'll see a bone specialist and we'll take it from there."
Meanwhile, new signing Rob Sinclair, who is also ruled out of the start of the campaign due to a knee injury, has now had his plaster removed.
"The plaster's off and he's in a brace," said Holmes, who also confirmed that the club had offered triallist Brian Dutton a one-year contract.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who has impressed in pre-season matches, has previously played for Weymouth, Eastleigh and Cambridge City.
