Woman speaks of bus horror
AN Alderbury woman has spoken of the terrifying
moment she and her mother were flung into the air from the top deck of an open-top bus.
Rachel Eveling, 41, and her mother Barbara Goward, 61, were on their way home from a walking
holiday on the Isle of Purbeck when the bus they were travelling in overturned near Studland last
Thursday morning.
"We were on the top deck and were looking out when it suddenly swerved," said Mrs Eveling, who is a teacher. "The road was bumpy but I couldn't tell why it was swerving. The bus went on two wheels in what felt like slow motion for a long time.
"Then the bus went right over on its side and we were thrown to the ground."
