Spate of shed break-ins
3:00pm Wednesday 24th October 2012 in News By Journal Reporter
POLICE are urging residents to report any suspicious vehicles to them after a spate of shed and garage break-ins in the Ringwood and Fordingbridge areas.
Inspector Simon Tribe says people should report anything suspicious, such as unknown cars to help them track down offenders.
He said: “We are undertaking number of operations in the area to try to disrupt people coming in to break into outbuildings.
“Darker evenings and poor weather are causing an increase in this type of crime, as the weather masks noise.
“Any information people can give us is gratefully received, and we will use the information to feed into our numberplate recognition systems, which give us cause to stop vehicles and question the occupants.”
