A DISUSED Scout hut has been given a new lease of life by a group of Waitrose workers.
The hut, belonging to the 1st Poulner Scout Group, was cleared of rubbish and overgrown ivy as part of Waitrose’s latest community project in the area. Bushes and shrubs were cut back and the gutters were cleared out in an effort to restore the building.
The group, led by Helen Fooks, included David Daborn, Mike Glock, Lily Walton, Jessica Fooks and Mat Williets.
It is hoped that the hut will be reopened in January.
