HELPING people to live longer, healthier and more independent lives are the main aims of Wiltshire’s Joint Health and Wellbeing Board, which launched a draft strategy on Wednesday.

The board is asking for local people’s views about where they think resources should be targeted in the future.

Jane Scott, leader of Wiltshire Council and chairman of the joint health and wellbeing board, said: “The strategy sets out how we will work together to help people live healthier, happier lives. It is a well-known fact that people in Wiltshire are living longer and we want to ensure they can remain independent and stay healthy for longer as well.

"We would encourage people to read the draft strategy and let us know their views on these very important issues. We will take these into account as part of our future plans.”

The draft strategy is available to view at libraries across Wiltshire or at wiltshire.gov.uk/jointhealthandwellbeingstrategy.

People can give their views by completing an online survey, which will be available until February 14.
