Leehurst recognised for work with dyslexic pupils
LEEHURST Swan School has won an award for its work with dyslexic pupils.
The school, in Campbell Road, Salisbury was recognised by The Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils, (CResTeD).
The learning support department regularly introduces specific learning methods to suit the children’s needs, which contributed to the school receiving CResTeD status.
The school has become the first in Salisbury to reach the required standard in helping dyslexic pupils achieve.
Headteacher Roger Leake said: “The award reflects the excellent practice and support that has developed in Leehurst Swan School.”
