POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman sustained a dislocated hip in an incident in Ringwood on Monday, November 12.

Investigations are being conducted into the incident, at the junction of College Road and Quomp at 5.15pm.

During the course of the incident, the woman, who is in her 70s, says her handbag and a Lakeland carrier bag disappeared.

Police are seeking anyone who may have seen the woman before or during this incident or anyone acting suspiciously in the area.

The black, leather effect handbag is from River Island and is covered in zips. The Lakeland carrier bag is yellow and blue.

The woman is white and was wearing a black coat with cream trim to the cuffs and collar, a dark coloured skirt with a pattern on it, a navy blue roll neck jumper and flat dark blue shoes.

Her long hair was clipped up at the back.
