HARNHAM Croft Nursing Home in Salisbury is celebrating being awarded the Investors in People (IiP) Gold standard for demonstrating excellence in staff development and support.

The award covers Bupa’s 300 care homes in the UK.

Bupa is the first national care home operator to achieve Gold and is one of just 3.2 per cent of organisations in the UK that have achieved this standard.

Home manager Jenny Cameron said: “We are a people-focused business and this award recognises the tremendous investment that we put in to our staff to ensure we maintain the highest standards of care for our residents.

“Our people are our best asset. We invest in them because we want them to love working for us and to continue to provide amazing, round-the-clock, high quality care for our residents and their families. It’s fantastic that their hard work and commitment has been recognised by this prestigious award.”

Assessors praised Bupa’s care homes for superb people practices, a supportive team working culture, learning and development opportunities, knowledge sharing, community involvement, a flexible working culture and involvement and the responsibility of all staff.
