STUDENTS at Wiltshire College Salisbury celebrated a year of achievements at their annual Celebration of Success ceremony.

More than 30 students who attended courses at the Salisbury campus last year were presented with awards for outstanding achievements – including excelling in their course, making enormous progress through their commitment and hard work and contributions to the life of the college and the local community.

College governor Helen Birchenough presented the awards, which covered a variety of course subjects including A-levels, sport, public services, beauty therapy, cookery, hairdressing, business, IT, art and design, music, carpentry, electrical installation, health and social care, childcare and travel and tourism.

Wiltshire College principal Di Dale said: “These are always very special occasions when we seek to recognise and celebrate the many and varied achievements of our students at the college.”

She thanked everyone who has supported the award winners, including parents, partners, employers, sponsors and tutors and said: “Without your support, encouragement and professionalism these successes would not have been possible.”

The awards were sponsored by Lord and Lady Glasbury and local businesses including Nisbet Catering Supplies and Salisbury Newspapers.
