DANCERS from St Edmund’s School got the chance to perform at Salisbury Arts Centre.

Twenty-one girls from the Year 10 GCSE dance group performed their composition Gather Together as part of a dance evening called Subtext, which explored themes of language and communication.

Their performance followed an intensive workshop with the Swerve and Neshima dance companies in which the girls choreographed their dance with the help of head of PE at the school, Katie Holes.

The girls also got to watch the professional dancers in a masterclass to help them understand more about the demands of dance.

Their performance was well received by the audience and the students enjoyed the experience of performing at the professional venue.
