HALE Primary and pre-school raised £650 at its Christmas fair at Hatchet Green where a magical grotto was created and Father Christmas welcomed streams of children to tell him their wishes for the big day.

The PTA is also selling raffle tickets for Christmas hampers, which is hoped to raise even more money for the school.

Andy Thorne, whose three children are seen here with the big man in red, said: “I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who helped to make it a magical day.”
