DANCERS from Ringwood-based dance school Shake have returned from the South Coast Street Dance Championships with a record number of trophies and titles.

The dancers became the South Coast Group Champions across all three age groups in the competition – Under 12s, Under 16s and Over 16s.

They also took the championship title in the Over 16 Team event, when 15 of their dancers blew the judges away with their choreographed routine.

The trophies didn’t stop there – the school’s new team was also placed first in the Under 16 Team category.

Fifty dancers from the school took part in the competition, many also coming away with top three placings in solo and duo events. The youngest competitors were five-year-olds Kelsey Chaldecott and Teagan Bannerman Williams, pictured, from Ringwood, who came first in the Under 10s Duo event as well as both coming home with trophies in the solo competition.

The dancers are now preparing for the 2013 qualifiers to represent England at the European and World Championships.
