Sunday Funday hands over cheque to Meningitis UK
A CHARITY has been presented with a donation by the organisation team behind Durrington’s Sunday Funday.
The volunteers handed over £1,065 raised at the event in August to Meningitis UK founder Stave Dayman.
Sunday Funday team members Michala and Gareth Steele started raising money for the charity after their daughter Megan contracted meningitis three years ago.
The other members of the Sunday Funday team decided they would donate a portion of the monies made from the Sunday Funday event so donated £600, which was boosted further by the Bulford & St Leonards Cubs and Scouts after they donated to the total part of monies they made from a sponsored walk. Sunday Funday is looking for a sponsor and charities to support for next year’s event.
