Man injured in Amesbury fight
4:08pm Monday 10th December 2012 in News By Corey Ross
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fight broke out in front of an Amesbury pub last Tuesday.
The incident happened outside The Bell in Salisbury Street between 10pm and 11pm and involved three men, the one being taken to Salisbury District Hospital with minor injuries.
A 20-year-old man from the Tidworth area has been arrested on suspicion of affray and a 21-year-old man from Devon has been arrested on suspicion of assault and causing actual bodily harm. Both have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Police are keen to hear from anyone in the area at the time and CCTV from the pub has identified a number of possible witnesses, particularly a man in a checked shirt who helped the injured man on the floor and put him in the recovery position after the fight.
Anyone with information can contact PC Catherine Isaac from Salisbury CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
