High praise for Dinton Pre-School
DINTON Pre-School is celebrating after receiving a glowing report from Ofsted inspectors, who rated its provision as outstanding. Inspectors praised the staff for having an “excellent understanding” of the needs of children and for having an “extremely strong focus” on helping children acquire communication and language skills.
The report states that the leadership and management at the school are “exceptional”, that children “thrive in the welcoming and nurturing environment” and that parents are “fully engaged and involved in their children’s learning”, with learning journals helping to keep them “extremely well-informed”.
It also highlighted the “excellent use” of the outdoor learning environment, with weekly forest school sessions, and outdoor canopies enabling children to regularly have lots of fresh air and exercise.
Manager Alison Hope-Jones said: “We are obviously thrilled and very pleased – I’ve got a really wonderful team of staff who all work really hard and it is so lovely to have it officially recognised.”
The pre-school, which is between Teffont and Dinton, has 60 children on roll and ten members of staff.
