More councillors needed in Amesbury

AMESBURY Town Council is in need of new members.

Vacancies exist on the council but so far no candidates have come forward.

“It was a long time ago – back in 2003 – that the people of Amesbury had the chance to vote for us,” said cllr Fred Westmoreland at a meeting of the town council last Tuesday. “We need new councillors and we need younger councillors.

“In order to do that we need to get the message across about what we do.”
