Young sports leaders at schools

GIFTED and talented sports stars have been selected as young ambassadors to promote physical exercise in their schools.
Thirty students from Avon Valley College and Wellington Academy were chosen to attend a special event focussing on their leadership skills.
The students had to create activities, deliver sports sessions and look at the skills required to become a coach, team manger or official.
It is hoped the students will use their new knowledge back at their schools to volunteer at events and festivals or run an extra curricular club.
