STAFF at Ringwood Brewery have raised a glass to an old friend that has returned home after four years.

Boondoggle was brewed in the town until 2008, when consumer demand for the blonde beer exceeded capacity and production was switched to partner brewery Banks’s in Wolverhampton.

Now Boondoggle is back in Ringwood following a re-evaluation of the current brewing programme and is already being supplied to pubs across Hampshire.

Ringwood head brewer Jeff Drew said: “While we appreciate the fantastic job that Banks’s did in maintaining the high standard of Boondoggle, it’s important to everyone at the brewery that all its cask ales are brewed in one place, by the same team.

“Boondoggle is not just popular with customers but is popular within the brewery. It's tremendous that it's back home in Ringwood.”
