AN appeal has been lodged against Wiltshire Council’s decision to refuse planning permission for a house near the River Avon which was rejected over fears of flooding.
JJ Acquisitions Ltd wants to demolish existing outbuildings and create a detached three-bedroom house with parking and a turning area for two cars on an area of land off Ashley Road, Salisbury.
The the developer says the site is in a sustainable location within an established residential area within about half a mile of Salisbury city centre and the Environment Agency have no objection to the proposed development, subject to imposition of a finished floor level condition.
A planning inspector will make a decision on the application.
