Hundreds without electricity after power failure
12:10pm Saturday 15th December 2012 in News By Elizabeth Kemble
ENGINEERS are currently working to restore power for hundreds of people in Salisbury after a power failure in the Milford Road and Southampton Road area.
The power failure has also affected the traffic lights on Milford Hill.
A Southern Electric spokesman apologised to customers for the problems, which started at 11.30am today and said they were doing everything they could to bring the electricity back on "as soon as possible".
She said: “We don’t know exactly what has caused the problem yet but it looks like a fault on the network.
“Engineers are on site at the moment and we are confident we can reroute the electricity around the network – all being well it will be back on very soon.”
