Man charged after Mere distraction burglary

A MAN from Mere has been charged in connection with a distraction burglary in which £2,500 was stolen from an elderly woman.
David John Wells, 35, of Clements Lane, will appear at Salisbury Crown Court on January 4 and is currently on bail.
The incident took place on December 11 at the victim’s home.
