OFFICE superstore Staples is set to close its Salisbury store.
The stationery and office furniture chain will close as part of plans to “accelerate growth and better serve the evolving needs of customers”.
As part of the plan, Staples will close 23 of its 134 stores. A Staples spokesman said: “We are actively working to support associates through this period of change.
“At the same time, Staples is investing in its online channel to provide customers a seamless shopping experience across our websites and retail store network.
“As the world’s second largest internet retailer and leading brand in office products, Staples is committed to making it easy for customers to shop how and when they want.
“In spite of these changes, we are confident we will continue to be our customers’ trusted source for their businesses’ needs.”
The date of closure has not yet been confirmed.
