LAST Tuesday I was knocked off my bike as I cycled home along the Southampton road cycle path. I was winded and in considerable pain.
At least half a dozen people stopped, got out of their cars and came to see if I was ok.
They were kind, thoughtful and very helpful, checking out how I was feeling, moving my bike to safety and taking time to ensure I was ok before helping me to my feet.
They stayed with me until they were sure that I was ok.
I have no idea who they were; I was too shaken up to ask. But I would like to say thank you to them all for their thoughtfulness and concern, which was very much appreciated. I would also like them to know that I am recovering well.
JERRY GARRETT Harnham THANK you so very much to the gentleman who handed my missing handbag to an ambassador in Salisbury on Monday, December 17.
Thanks too to the ambassadors for then delivering it so swiftly to the police station. It had fallen from my bike rack where I accidentally left it. Its loss could have been catastrophic just before Christmas.
