THE story of 30 years of pantomime at Salisbury Playhouse is told by author Chris Abbott in Putting on the Panto to pay for Pinto.

Exploring the work of Henry Marshall, who wrote shows to be performed at the theatre from 1955 to 1985, Abbott includes a full transcription of the writer’s gag book and tells the story through interviews with actors who appeared in the pantomimes and those who helped put them on.

The foreword is by actress Stephanie Cole.

Putting on the Panto to pay for Pinto is priced at £14.95 and published by Hobnob Press.
