POLICE are appealing for information after batteries worth £32.97 were stolen from the Tesco Metro store in Salisbury city centre.

The theft of the three sets of Energizer batteries happened at about 2.30pm on Tuesday, November 27.

The suspect is described as white a white man, 5ft 6ins, of slim build and aged in his 30s. He was wearing a white hoody, black leather jacket, black jeans and scruffy training shoes.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
