A DOCUMENTARY about Salisbury Cathedral choristers is to be broadcast on BBC Four next Friday, January 18.

Angelic Voices: The Choristers of Salisbury Cathedral, which was broadcast five times last year, will be shown again at 7.30pm.

The documentary was made by Emmy award-winning Cesca Eaton, who followed the choristers as they went about their day to day work. She said: “Salisbury has it all – history, boy and girl choristers of the same age, a Dean and Chapter who were extraordinarily welcoming, the most beautiful cathedral and surroundings, and, most importantly, a highly talented and charismatic director of music, David Halls.”

The choir can usually be heard singing each day during term time in the cathedral, Monday to Saturday at Evensong at 5.30pm and on Sundays at 9.15am Mattins, 10.30am Eucharist and 4.30pm Evensong.

A DVD of Angelic Voices is available from the cathedral shop.
