Home care company scoops award

BURLEY’S Home Care in Ringwood has won the New Forest District Council Award for Outstanding Customer Care at the New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards.

Last year the family firm was a finalist in the training and development category and this year it was nominated along with two other companies for outstanding customer care.

A spokesman for the company said: “We could not believe our ears when our names were called out as the winners of our category, but it is amazing as a family-run home care company to be recognised for delivering outstanding customer care.

“Sadly the care industry seems to appear in the media too often for bad reasons but there are so many care companies that do not get recognised for the outstanding levels of care that they provide. We are extremely proud of our award.”

Ringwood mayor Steve Rippon-Swaine said: “I am delighted a family-run Ringwood company has received such an accolade.

“They are a valuable asset to Ringwood and I wish them all good fortune in continuing to deliver first class care to our elderly residents and those in need of reliable home care.”
